This statement finally has meaning for me. I go to make a sheet of my own recycled paper. It was pretty fragile and I don't think I could actually write on it without it falling apart, but the process of making paper was cool. We ground up pieces of paper until it was very, very fine and made what I liked to call a "protein shake." It was then poured onto a screen and dried and the end result can be seen below. This was something I never thought I would be doing.
